Q. for anyone who works in the industry and actually KNOWS the answer!
Specifically the comps where the network send someone to present the cheque to the winners at their home.
Does the first name out of the hat really always win or do the producers look at the address and choose another winner if the first persons house is going to be costly or difficult to send a presenter to?
I ask this because I have never seen a winner to one of these comps come from Shetland, Orkney, Highlands etc.
I am not interested in guess work thanks, only if you know.
Thankyou

My fiance always says she wants to move to Random. Because the winners are always chosen at Random. (Sorry, flippant answer).

The low % of the total population in these areas makes a winner statistically unlikely and as such I don't think that many people from these areas would win (possibly not any have ever won so far)
