Do you hate it as much as I do?
My landlord wont fix things!
We can't have any pets unless you count the mold!
My neighbors vandalize my vehicle.
Teens party outside my window all night smoking pot and drinking.
You hear everything the neighbors are doing and vice versa.
AHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry to hear about all the things you are having to deal with...I've been thru similar things like that myself throughout my life...you also may find that my answer may make you feel a little envious..if it does, I apologize in advance. No I don't live in an apartment right now...I live way out in the middle of nowhere in a single family home on a non-working farm on a top of a big ridge in western Wisconsin...was that too much info??lol...My hope for you is that you find some moments of peace during this crazy times that you are stuck living around....

I have lived in apartments like that, but we were allowed to have animals. Right now, my fiance and I live in a duplex apartment and we are the ones upstairs. We are in the back so people can't see us unless they know we are here and they look. We are allowed to have cats, birds, or fish, but not dogs. Our neighbors are awesome, no teens in the area, very quiet here except for the trains (we are close to the train switching station and the tracks), and we have a canal in the back of our place and we are right near the waterfalls in the canal. When it is really warm out at night, we keep our back door (it's in our bedroom) open a bit so we can hear the water. It's like being at the ocean!

Before living here, we lived in a house. We did have neighbors that would play loud music, etc. Before that, I lived in a townhome duplex and had next door neighbors that played loud music, and noisy kids, but I told them about it and it calmed down. Other than that, it was quiet there.

I am sorry to hear that your apartment complex is like it is. I try to look for the quieter ones, in nicer neighborhoods, so I don't have those problems. And I look for ones that allow pets so I can keep my cats. As for getting anything fixed here, my landlord is very quick about it and gets things done. The last two places I have lived, I had to do the yard work even tho I rented. This place we don't have to do that--the landlord does it all! He lives about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes away, but comes down here as fast as possible to fix what needs fixed.

No a house but I feel your pain. When I lived in an apartment (downstairs) my upstairs neighbors would come home when the bars closed (approx. 2:30-3:00 a.m.) and turn loud music on and stomp around. It really sucked because I had to get up for work about 6:30 a.m.

Yes, but the only 2 things I hate about it is when someone does some construction a few floors above you and the other thing I hate about living in an apartment is when ever the fire alarm goes off. But for the past 20 years, I've learned to deal with it.

I'm very sorry to hear about where you live. That's not good at all.I live in a house with a front and back garden and a driveway. It's not always been like this.I used to live in a tower block 14 flights up with two kids under 3 years old.The lifts were always breaking down.It was a nightmare.I deserve to live where I do now for my girls. They have two cats as well.

Sometimes the children running around upstairs after 11:00pm is disruptive. Sometimes the lady upstairs runs the vacuum cleaner at 4:00 am. We don't have washer and dryer hook ups, so we have to go to the laundry mat.
Other than that... apartment life isn't too bad....

I do, but I got really lucky with my landlords & neighbors; I have had bad experiences with other apartments, though, & it does suck. Good luck with your situation!

I love my apartment...there's little noise from neighbors, no kids live around me, and the maintenence staff loves me--they fix stuff right away. Sorry about yours, though...
