KIA Pride LX 1.3 (5 door) 1994 - Acceleration Issue / Stalls when slowing down?

Hello,

I have recently changed the spark plugs.

When i accelerate in 1st gear, the car sometimes judders and doesn't want to get going... It also happens sometimes when i'm going faster in higher gears.

Also, when i put the clutch down and brake to stop; the car nearly always stalls, unless i can keep it rev'ed up (which is difficult when trying to stop).

Today, the car also made a nasty sort of scream and refused to switch back on when it stalled; at a busy roundabout...

Check for vaccumn leaks by spraying wd40 on all vaccumn connections. Check your fuel filter. ( heck , just replace it)Insure your carb is still bolted down tight. Check and be sure the choke plate is opening up all the way when the vechicle is warmed up.And also check the timing. Have fun day
