Does anybody here do ballroom/latin dancing?

Question

I have been doing ballroom/latin dancing for 2 years now. In fact, I'm going to a ocmpetition tomorrow!! I just want to know if anybody else here does it, too.

Wow, I have been dancing for two years too, but I have been to many competitions.

When you go out there, it isn't like "Oh no oh no no no, I can't I won't no no, I need to do this, this this this" It just sortof happens.

What happens to me is I go out there onto the floor, I look around, bright lights and everyone. Then I dance, good or bad, but most of it is a blur. I don't remember mess ups (unless I broke my ankle or something like that, which I havn't done yet.) It is just a thrill!!

You will feel nervous, that is normal. One time, a lady even "accidently" smacked me in the face with her ring covered hand and I almost fell over. Just think about how everyone else out there is feeling. They look perfessional, experienced? They are, but they still get nervous. Just give it your best shot, and remember, the judges don't see your mistakes if you don't let them!

I do, I've been doing ballet since I was little, and started ballroom/latin 4 years ago. Good Luck at the competition!

Yeah..., both Latin and Standard. Is it safe for me to guess that you are in California and you are dancing California Championships comp tomorrow? Good luck in any case.

I am in love with ballroom dancing since childhood... I especially love the Argentinian Tango... it's so passionate!
