depends on the size of the woman... if she was 300lbs not really that big... if she's petite thats huge

Here's how bra sizes work: The number (in this case 38) is the measurement around the rib cage and the letter (in this case D) represents the difference between measuring the rib cage and measuring the full bust. So, A is smallest, B is bigger, and so on. So, a 38D is not going to look as big on a woman as a 32D would. Get it?

38 is the measurement in inches around the fullest part of the bust. The letter denotes how many inches difference there is between the measurement under the bust and the measurement under the bust. A equals one inch, B is two etc. So a D means that the bust is four inches bigger than the chest it's on.
I know everyone else has said that the measurement under the bust is the band size but it's not. The measurement under my bust is 32 inches, the bust measurement is 36 inches. I wear a 36D.

38 is the size around the body
d is the cup size or size of the breast its self.
i am a 36ff
so the woman who is a 38d is a bit fatter than me but she has smaller boobs than me.
but d's definatley arent small.

Its 38 inches under the bust and over four to five inches over the peaks so that would make it something like 43 inches so that is really really big. I would hate to be that size. Sorry but that adds extra weight to carry around.
