There's a lot to see in both cities that's free (the Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39 street performers, the Bellagio fountains, Caesar's Atlantis show, etc.)
However, as this is your honeymoon, you might also want to splurge a little.
In Las Vegas...
1- See at least one major production or headliner show. The Cirque de Soleil shows are particularly good. You get book tickets here:
http://www.vegas.com/
2- Take a tour of Hoover Dam, which was the largest in the world (until Three Gorges was built in China):
http://www.hooverdamtourcompany.com/
3- Gamble (straight forward, but it can be surprisingly thrilling). Just remember to 'get rated' or join a slot club, so you can get comps. It might only be a couple drinks, but why not.
In San Francisco...
1- Go on a dinner cruise, and be rewarded with gorgeous views of the lit-up skyline:
http://www.hornblower.com/IDC/calendar.aspx?port=sf
2- Definitely take a daytrip to Muir Woods, Wine Country, or Yosemite National Park:
http://www.blueandgoldfleet.com/
3- Realize your California "star treatment" dreams... schedule VIP fashion consultation and spa day at Macy's flagship Union Square store:

Allow me to congratulate you on your choice! I have been on holiday to these cities in that order twice and they have both got so much to offer. However, because you want your friends and family to pay, I will stick to things you can book in advance...
1. San Francisco
It might sound obvious for an SF holiday, but Alcatraz really shouldn't be missed. It's a great morning or afternoon trip into the bay and a excellent opportunity to get a new view of the city, the Golden Gate, the even bigger Bay Bridge and the surrounding hills. It's also quite an affecting experience and a fascinating insight into crime and punishment in the US.
2. Las Vegas
A show is a must, but the traditional Vegas revue (ie: "artistic" strip show) is a lot more fun than a broadway-style theatre show, especially if you are on honeymoon! There's also a company that offers a dawn balloon ride over the strip and the nearby desert - which may offer something a little different from the usual (though brilliant) helicopter ride at sunset.
Other less-usual Vegas outings include the rollercoaster at the top of the Stratosphere (which is genuinely, really, very terrifying) and the Liberace Museum.
3. In between
After the culture of SF and the fun of Vegas, there is still a gap in your holiday for some nature stuff. There are a lot of options for romantic nights away on the journey between SF and Vegas. Get your friends to pay for a night or two in a log cabin in one of the amazing national parks: Yosemite is particularly romantic, although Joshua Tree and Death Valley are also on the way and are both very spectacular. And don't forget that someone generous could book you stylish convertible for you to drive yourself around!

Be treated to an unforgettable San Francisco knowledge and learn why you ought to visit this city with hotelbye . In San Francisco you are able to look at the popular Golden Gate Bridge how was once called "the link that could not be built" and how is nowadays one the seven wonders of the modern world. This impressive bridge is San Francisco's most famous landmark. In San Francisco you may also go to the Lombard Street. Usually called the “crookedest” street in the world, that lovely road on Russian Hill functions tight turns, aromatic gardens and wonderful views of the bay and Alcatraz. San Francisco happens to be a town that'll surprise you and wherever you can have the right holyday.

The best one has to be a show at Ceasers! Celine Dion often plays there on a regular basis, they even built her a theatre just for her! But most months a BIG name or group will be in Vegas, book in advance and ask for contributions as your wedding gift!
There are many excellent restaurants in Vegas, some expensive and some at a reasonable price. In a hotel off the strip, called the Palace Station, there is a great italian restaurant that has a very reasonable priced menu for the excellent food they serve! Grab a cab and treat yourselves!

An afternoon's flight over the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam and Monument Valley. You can do this from Las Vegas airport. Also tickets for a Las Vega show, e.g. Siegfried and Roy (if one of their tigers don't try to eat them again), Prince, Celine Dion or whoever floats your boat.

A couple suggestions.... In Napa, there's a Wine Train that goes to the vineyards and they offer gourmet meals on the train along with wine tasting. And I recommend taking the Amtrak from Northern California to Reno. They locals up there call it "the snow train" because it goes through the snow in the Winter but it still should be really pretty on the train in June. You can catch it in either the Bay Area or Sacramento. It's a beautiful trip. Amtrak lets you bring your own food and wine or you can buy it on board. It's very relaxing and picturesque.... Good luck.

You must ride the trams in SF...fantastic !
Chopper ride to the Grand Canyon. take the only one that goes to the floor of the canyon. They give you a picnic there and let you explore. Can't remember the name but we did it...amazing.
