Yep its true. Im from akron ohio real close to cleveland. When I first heard I didnt believe it. He was such a great performer, but from what I know an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. That is really messed up, excellent singer, and he was so young.

Gerald Levert (July 13, 1966 - November 10, 2006)

Levert passed away due to an apparent heart attack on November 10, 2006.

Sister 2 Sister magazine reported that Gerald and his father had just returned from a 10-day trip to South Africa where they had met with Nelson Mandela and were treated like royalty.

Upon Gerald's return, he was excited about his upcoming album, which is due early in 2007.

Gerald died in his sleep.

Yes, unfortunately we have lost Mr. Gerald Levert to an apparent heart attack. He will be sorely missed. The world has lost a great one.

Gerald Levert has died. I am so thankful that his music will continue to touch our hearts. You just never know . It is so important to treat people right and live each day as if it is our last. My heart goes out to his family. I pray that God wraps His loving arms around them as they go through this difficult time.

That is true it has been confirmed by his record label that Gerald had died of a heart attack in his hotel room while getting ready for phone interviews.

Its true. We confirmed it with his record label (I work for a radio station). So, I'm doing a tribute to him during my show until I sign off.

Not that I heard of. You might be confusing him with Luthor Vandross. He is dead.
