Yes and you were not worried if the person was going to take you to someplace and do unspeakable things to you either.

Yep...I remember. I've hitchhiked out West (from like Denver to Salt Lake City) and in Alaska...and there is no way I'd try to do that now...or even encourage anyone to try it...even 15-20 years ago it was sorta scary (nothing worse than getting picked up by drunk drivers).
