If the oil has leaked out completely, or if you haven't had your oil change done in eons, then there's a chance that the engine seized, in which case you need a new engine. Find out the cost of replacing the engine vs the value of the car and decide accordingly.
If this is not the case, it could be the battery, ignition or the alternator. Get the car towed to your mechanic and let him determine the cause and then take it form there.

Not the first time I've heard of a Pinin seizing. You'll be looking at £2000 for a decent guaranteed second hand engine, and about £1000 to fit it.

Mitsubishi Engines Never seize ,Unless they run out of oil .
These engines Never leak either,
I guess the AA mechanic must have had a good reason to say its seized ,
Be prepared for a shock if this is the case.

If its true lots of money .Hard to say until vehicle examined Shogun parts are expensive.Did not the AA give you any other information other than the engine is seized?Although they obviously cannot cost a repair they normaly have a good idea of the component that caused the problem.Regards Mick.

Out of oil, engine ruined, very expensive. Will probably need a new engine. Take it to a reliable garage if the car is not new as Mitsubishi will charge a fortune for a new engine. Buy a Volkswagen.

The engine will seize if it runs out of oil or water. Did you notice any puddles? The most common reason for cars suddenly stopping is that the computer controlling the ignition has become confused. Either problem is expensive.

Either way, if you've ran it without water and cooked it, or without oil, your gonna ruin the block, i expect behond economical repair, i've put 4 crankshafts in shoguns and they've never been the same again.its a sticky one my friend, no one will give you money for a knackered jeep, you cant keep it if its knackered so the only answer is to fix and ship out, or the old insurance job fail safe, but that if you dont value your freedom.

Overheated and seized? Ran out of oil and seized? Cambelt broke and engine smashed itself up? Get a new engine or scrap the whole vehicle.
