I belive stockton is better. Also his defense is much better than Nash. what do you guys think?

Stockton was so much better even though he did not win any MVPs. It wasn't his fault there was this guy named Michael Jordan that he happened to be in the shadow of. Stockton is the greatest point guard every to play the game. He holds records in most assists and steals. Nash has only become a phnomenon in the last couple years whereas Stockton had a great carreer start to finish. Stockton did not score as many points as Nash, but he had higher percentages.

John Stockton was the greatest point guard in history, bar none!! Nash may very well get to that stature one day but not yet. If he ever breaks Stockton's assist record then I might consider him on the same level as Stockton.

Stockton was not a dirty player. He was one of the most competetive point guards in the league. He was a much better passer than nash, its just that he wasnt as flashy as Nash but much more precise. There is no comparison, even though Stockton never got a ring, he is one of the top 5, maybe even 3 point guards ever. Up there wih Magic, Isaiah Thomas, Jerry West...etc.
Not to mention he hold records for assists and steals.....

in my opinion, i might extremely have Stockton over Nash any day. Stockton is corridor of repute fabric in terms of assists and steals, that is not any small feat. Thats a tough one, Stockton has never won a MVP. Nash is pretty good. If i had to build a team around 1 of them it would have to be Nash. If Stockton didnt have K. Malone he wouldnt have been so great.

Nash isn't even close to being in Stockton's league - John Stockton is one of the best point guards EVER!

Nash has had a couple of better years than Stockton, but Stockton has had a better carrer.
