In the summer of 69...literally! I was a 10 year old kid with none of the adult problems that I have now...thanks-a-bunch for reminding me.

I have had a few of them. One was in 66 when I was in the RN and visiting Singapore for the first time. We stayed at RAF Changi (Now an international airport) and life was so good! Another was in 70 when I was still in the RN. I was in Porthleven, Cornwall, discovering the alternative society and being a right little dissident dope smoking sailor boy. It was a time I look back on with fondness.

Summer of 96. I was 17. Best summer of my life. I was just turning old enough so that my parents weren't as tight with me going and coming.
I'd also been in love with this chick for like 3 years and we'd finally become friends and started chilling. We used to go out together pretty much every day. Movies, malls, picnics, walks downtown....and she was 2 years older so my parents were even ok with me out being really late as long as she was there.
Happiest 2 months of my life.
Then she went to university in september and i pretty much never got to talk to her ever again.

in the summer of '69' i was still in my mothers womb - lol
my personal 'summer of 69' would have to be august 1991 - the time i first went out with my girlfriend - now my wife of 11 years.
all that carefree time - dating, trying to find places to 'snog', meeting (and being accepted into) her family, etc....
what a great time that was....
then there was the birth of our 2 sons, 1999+2005.
these will always be special times for me.
:-)

It was maybe 1980-81. My parents traveled and I got to take care of the house. I spent every evening around the dining room table writing stories and painting with watercolors. Now it's hard to find time for those creative pursuits.

1985... best so far by a long shot.. was 15, carefree and learnt sooo much about life it was unbelievable.. learnt how to live with life, love, death, and anything else that could be thrown at me, but it made me who i am today.. and i would live it all again if i could without a second thought.. the good, the bad and the ugly..

High school. I didn't have the worries I have now. On the other side, I'm owner of my life and tastes. I do as I please now since I'm working hard for it. But I now have the limitations I didn't have then. So it's a matter balancing up things and get the best of each season.
