A guy I thought was single held my hand when walking me to my car after a get-together, well little did I know the scumbag was married! I feel horrible now, should I? All we did was held hands, but before then he would constantly touch me and hug me, etc.

FYI he is from Spain and his wife and family are in Spain while he is here in the states.....he honestly could not think that is acceptable behavior could he?

I have avoided him since then, thanks for all the advice! :)

The holding the hand thing was going way to far on his part. Hugging is not so bad.

You shouldn't feel bad if you legitimately didn't know he was married. So he's playing the single game away from home. Pretty screwed up!

Brush it off, avoid him like the plague, and if he keeps coming around let him know that you understand that he is married and he's to close for your comfort any longer.

Good luck!

You know so little about him you don't know if he is married, yet you allow him to "constantly hug and touch" you? Were you tied to a chair at the time? I doubt it.

What the H*LL kind of logic is that?

Where does the line form for pretty much complete strangers to hug and constantly touch you?

Next horn dog: "Hi, you don't know much about me - like whether or not I am married. Can I constantly hug and touch you?"

You: "Um, okay. Sure."

You are just as much at fault as he is.

Next time, find out who has their paws all over you before you keep constantly allowing it.

As for now, if he tries it again, slap his face and call his wife with him there on speakerphone.

If you really thought that he was single, then you should not feel bad. He is the creep that is acting inappropriately. He is hitting on you. If you allow it to continue, then you are in the wrong. I have looked a guy in the eyes before and said "Married people don't do that and you are married. Excuse me." and walked off. But I certainly think he stinks.

I think as long as you don't have any further relations with this fellow then you'll be fine. Now that you know he's a scumbag, I hope you'll steer clear. It wouldn't hurt to pass the info along to whomever he's married to what he's been up to either!

Tell him you feel uncomfortable holding hands with a married man. Give him a chance to stop. If he doesn't go to his wife. She has a right to know. And even if he oes stop you should consider telling his wife.

If you didn't know, it's not your bad...now you know, if you continue, then it's TOTALLY YOUR bad! Run away, he's a jerk! Don't take his calls, respond to his e-mails, answer the door when he knocks, or wave to him on the street! Only bad can come from associating with a married man. Hang tough!

If you didn't know, you have nothing to feel guilty about, because it was his fault. Congratulations on handling the situation so well by avoiding him now -- you're doing exactly the right thing.

Don't blame yourself. U didn't know he was married and he led you on to believe he was single. U did the right thing by staying away from him.

If you did not know he was married why would you feel bad? Just leave him alone and move on. It is not that serious, you only allowed him to hold your hand. God Bless
