That's a tough one. The thing is, there are so many flavors in a typical Thanksgiving dinner that it isn't possible to find one wine that matches them all. You have sweet, savory, dry, crisp, bland, rich... no wine has them all at once.

But that's very freeing also. Just pick something that tastes good on its own, that you'd drink by itself. It will go with something on the table and be very enjoyable.

My choices: White Merlot (Beringer), Sauvingnon Blanc (Fetzer), Pinot Noir (any). These are relatively mild wines that are tasty but not too strong. Always good choices. Have at least two of these available and your guests can choose what they like.

Chardonnay and a cabernet would be nice.
