well i was checking some stuff of my e mail, i had my msn on, and then one of my contacts say "hi" then of course i say "hi" but then this person say "bye,i already install a virus in your computer, your computer will be affected in three days , and your msn in two days" i was like "what the h...? then i close my msn, is it possible that this person install a virus to my computer or was he just trying to get me scared, i need to know please help. i already did a antivirus scan, i got norton and it doesn't show i got any virus. do you think my computer is got a virus???

Probably not, that was just to get a rise out of you. If you want to be sure, however, go to one of the other large virus conpamies like mcafee, fprotect, etrust, etc and do an on-line scan (do not try loading another virus program - they do not play well together). You should also run some malware software like adawarese or spybot.

Get AVG anti-virus and scan for a week is what I would do. Becuase if it is real then it could be installed at anytime. Becides if he did send you a virus then why tell you when it would take effect. But yeah scan,alot!

If he did not provide you with a link to click on, or, a file to open then your, probably, not infected. This was probably a punk kid getting his jollies.

You ran your Nortons and it didn't find anything. I would recommend you do a free on-line scan as a confirmation. Go ahead and allow this program to remove all it finds, most likely it will be cookies.

if it was a contact you know,, call him a jerk and delete him
