I was a couple of Pavement shows in the early 90's that were mind blowing, but, they are more of a personal favorite, not for everyone...but as far as main stream acts go you can't top Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band, i've seen him 10 times in 3 different states and he rocks every time.

but to be really really specific...i saw Lenny Kravitz back in 1989, before he was the adult contempory wuss/super model want to be he is now. It was at the Metro in Chicago, about a 1000 seat club, about 1/2 filled, and he blew the roof of the place...He was a god on the "let love rule" tour...too bad he's a totally hump now. He brought out Buddy Guy and jammed with him and covered Jimi's "if 6 were 9"...i was pretty baked ...to be homest.

I seen a concert with a few of the 60's 70's and 80's group, with The Dramatic's heading the show, and I have not seen anything else that tops that show right up until today. It was around 2000 or 2001 at the Fox theater in Detroit. Before one of the members of the Dramatic's past away. It was the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have chills just talking about it.

Out of the many concerts I've been too this is an easy answer for me because hands down...it has to be Pink Floyd. Saw them in 87' and 88' and each time it was amazing...from the half-baked stadium crowds, to the lights, sound and music...it was fantastic both times.

Little Richard at the Texas Pelican Club in Louisiana in 1970.

The man is a showman through and through. I never cared for his music until I saw him live and he is unbelievable.

Rory Gallagher! I had never even heard of him, but he opened for either ZZ Top or Rush and he was so good the fans booed when the main act came on stage! He was on fire! Kind of a blues/rock guitarist like Hendrix. Great performer!
