First of all, I know that most people think that I should download Firefox, I don't want to, I prefer Internet Explorer and I don't want to hear why I should change.

Windows Updates is telling me that IE 7 is a high priority update. My boyfriend downloaded it to his computer and had problems accessing his online classes, which are websites that I use also. I know that you can change something in IE 7 to make those websites work as if I were using IE 6, but I'm not sure that I want to. It doesn't seem to me that Microsoft has worked out all the glitches with IE 7 at this time, am I correct?

SO.... Will it hurt for me to keep IE 6 running on my computer? Am I putting anything at risk?

I don't think it hurts at all to keep IE6...IE7 ain't got that much over it just a few pretty bells and whistles that'll work better when you have Windows Vista ("tabbed browsing" doesn't work all that well in XP). I'd say stick with 6.

I have to have all of them (IE6, 7, Opera, Firefoxes, Amaya, Mozilla) to test websites) and I think probably IE6 is what most websites these days are most comfortable on...

Internet Explorer 6 is the most unsecure browser, I recon.
Version 7 is better and more secure so you should - there shouldn't be any errors if the settings are correct.

But... I use FireFox because it is so much better and the design is customisable. FireFox is faster and very secure. Even though you apparently don't want to hear about it, it is stupid idea to deny talk on it because FireFox is the best - always will be.

DON'T DO IT! IE 7 sucks!! There are tons of glitches that I've noticed that they haven't fixed yet. Keep IE 6, it won't hurt anything.

Don't fret. Nothing bad will happen for you running wiht IE6. I usually wait about three months to switch to an upgraded program from Microsoft, to allow them to get the kinks out too.

IE7 was mainly a step in removing a bunch of security holes. It'd be better to use IE7.

If you want better than that, get Firefox!
