I've had a difficult few months what would you do to escape, other than going out of town?

Positive stuff, no alcohol, alcohol abuse is for losers and I said when feeling down, alcohol is a downer, why would I want to do that? Some people here need to grow up!

I have had a difficult few years and although my husband and children bring me great comfort, praying and talking to God is what takes my burdens off of me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Go to a spa! Or get some nail and toe work done. Go out with friends! Or go for a ride! that's what I do. When I have the money. Good luck and I hope you are on the up side soon!!! you don't need alcohol to have a good time despite what the other person said.

We all go through difficult times, I assume it's over a relationship. What helps me is to take out all of the negative things and put them away such as pictures, music, hobbies, places, and traditions you had with that signifigant other. If there is not too many things that remind you than you will heal quicker. Also family and friends are huge, you need them the most right now. Focus your life as a person and what great things you have. Trust me you have many great things. :)

I do an artwork, saw a disguise, paint my house, listen to LOTS of hard rock music (nothing soft because it will only contribute to get me down deeper), maybe even watch a good movie, or chat online. A little window shopping helps too - A change of environment. Sometimes none of that works, so I depress myself further in order to cry my brains out and get it out of my system for good.
The secret is to keep your mind busy enough so you don't focus on the problem.
Hope any of those methods help.

Enjoy some pamper me time. Run a nice bath, listen to some good tunes, drink some great wine and just relax. (I'm kinda on a budget so a bottle of wine I can afford the trip to sunny Jamaica is out of my price range.)
Have a nice relaxing and hopefully carefree day. :)

listen to your favorite songs, go and buy something pretty for yourself, eat your favorite food/dessert, try to cry a lot so you can release your blocked feelings or go jogging
