how does the circulation of warm ocean water affect some of the coastal lands?

Well, without the warm Gulf Stream we here in the UK would not be able to grow crops, it would be so cold.

If my memory serves me, warm ocean water currents are called el nino. When el nino occurs it causes more precipitation for the coastal lands.

Don't quote me on this.
