Sometimes. I like to work though and enjoy having an independent say. Money is really tight for us right now and it isn't always easy. But I also like being there when my family needs me. My husband works constantly, and I really don't know anyone in our city(he brought me to a city two thousand miles away from my home). I like to take care of the house and I love to cook. I work with my daughter and do activities and learning games with her, but sometimes I'd also like to have something that is my own too. It sounds terrible and I usually feel guilty for feeling that way.

Yes, lots. Never thought I would, and didn't plan to be a stay at home mom for long. Had a good career, so knew I would stay home a year with the first child. However, once time passed, I knew I couldn't leave! Have dealt with hard times money-wise, but it's been all worth it for our family. Husband has been mega-supportive. Don't like cleaning, but of course do it, and hubby does heavy stuff because I have some med. problems. Love to cook, do every evening, and have had to become inventive because the budget is tight - but my boys eat anything!
(what's "dh"? - am I duh, because I can't figure it out.)

I love being a housewife! I don't like to cook, but when I do cook (about 2-3 times a week), I do an awesome job of it. Anyone who has had my food can tell you how good of a cook I am. I am not a mother, but I do help my fiance's ex with their 3 teen girls. Plus we have 2 adult cats and a kitten, so they can be like kids to take care of. I would much rather be home taking care of the home, bills, money, etc, than being out in the working world, the rat race, etc.

Sometimes. I have been a house wife (or g/f) since before my 4 yr old daughter was born. I worked after my son was born, but stopped when pregnant with my daughter. I miss working, but, I know my children and our finances are better off now. I love to decorate and cook, I adore my kids. I don't enjoy cleaning, but... lol. it's the best non paid job in the world. Domestic Goddesses... UNITE!

I love being a mother but with two little ones I also find it exhausing and more demanding than a full time job. For the the idea scenario would be if I could find work in my field that would allow me to work 2-3 days a week (very unlikely). I know doctor's that do it and they love haing the balance.

I just wish it wasn't everyday... it's the everydayness of it that is so hard. It can be very rewarding, but it's just difficult to wake up and do it again.... and again... and again....
