I say pop and I'm in Ontario. I very rarely hear anyone around here say soda or soft drink.
I thought soda was an American thing and pop was Canadian to be honest but I see from other answers that some Americans do say pop too.

Well, I say soda (even though I don't drink it) but when I lived in Ohio, everyone said pop. Also, in the old days they said pop so that is why I think it still is said that way sometimes. Example: My grandpa was born and raised and lived all his life in California, but said pop. That is because in the 50's it was all called pop. I tend to think it sounds cute when people say pop. So go ahead and say pop all you want.

I usually say "soda," but sometimes do say "pop," or "soda-pop." I've heard some people call it "soda-water." I'm California raised, but most of my folks are from Texas.

I usually say "soda" or "soft drink" but don't freak out if people call it "pop." It is weird, however, that around here some people call it "Coke" even if they mean "Pepsi" or some other soft drink. For example, a co-worker may say "Want me to bring you back a Coke?" and you say "Sure" then they ask "What kind? Coke? Pepsi? Sprite? Dr. Pepper?"
And I'm in southern New Mexico...
