present for my boyfriend. He is leaving to afghanistan for the army and needs a laptop so he can keep in touch with his family. I do have bead credit and i dont wan to keep applying for loans, but i really need to get a laptop for him, he leaves in two weeks. have any loan ideas??

I know firsthand that every base in afganistan has a computer which troops are allowed to use on a schedule basis. If you have no money and have crappy credit, I would assume that the last thing you need is more debt. You boyfriend will be able to keep in touch with home through his home base's computer AND letters, so save the $400-500 and don't take out a loan at all....

okay you can't get a loan but heres what u can do... This comapny is called American Musical, very reputable. They won't finance you for the laptop, but what they'll allow you to do is to breka it into 5 equal payments over 5 months.

Yeah. Go to a rent-to-own place. You'll end up paying twice as much....but they'll give it to you.

There's also another place that does it. Blue computers or something. But I don't know how reputable they are.
