I need to know how the new education effected the native American race when it was first introduced to them.?

How did they respond to the way the white people changed their way of teaching.

im native american, and if i were my ancestors i'd feel alienated ,scared but curious.but i wish my culture was still speak our native tongue to our children, and not be forced into christiananity.and still follow our own religions and traditions ,we do but not as much as we should be.
