well all men are born equal , this is true as a human being with a brain , but I think this only applies to " equal creature of god " there is no way that they are equal in society, some would be lucky to be born in a good environment and become great people , some not and still become great people and the opposite by all means is true also .
If we can see every other human being equal to us , by thinking that after all it is the same creature like us but with different "options " , it can at least let us interact better with others.

No it was not true when it was written (by a man), nor is it true today. The common man is not equal to a Pope, King, President, or Prime Minister. When "all men are created equal" was penned, woman were considered to be sub-human.

Everybody starts out as equals, but then outside forces affect the man. And, some get criticized so they are below some men, and then some are praised so much that they THINK that they are better. So noone is really created equal.

All men aren't created equal. If we were then we'd all be the same. I think what they meant is that all people deserve equal rights which was true then and still is today and always will be.
