The dice are in a doghouse and have dog bones on them. What do they mean? The checkers are dog bowls. I tried to search under the manufacturer, M.J. Moran Company, but couldn't find anything. Kept coming up with the Dog House game that is a frontier type game.

Here are the instructions:

OBJECT OF THE GAME

To capture all of the opponent’s dog bowls.

HOW TO PLAY

Each player places twelve (12) dog bowls on the black squares of the first three rows on opposite ends of the kitchen floor checkerboard. The bowls are moved diagonally forward. Red player starts the game.
Play begins by shaking the Dog House Shaker. There are three dice inside the shaker and on each side of each die there is either a red or yellow dog bone. The red player shakes the Dog House and moves the dog bowls on the board according to the color of the dog bones shown on the dice. For example, if there are two red bones and one yellow bone showing, the red player has the option to move one red bowl twice or two red bowls once and a yellow bowl once. Thus, a player moves their own bowls as well as their opponent’s bowls to their own advantage. The shaker is then passed to the yellow player and play resumes. Remember, bowls without bones can only be moved forward.

COLLECTING BOWLS

In order to capture an opponent’s dog bowl, a player must be able to jump over their opponent’s bowl when there is a vacant square behind. A player is allowed to jump as many of their opponent’s bowls on the same move if there is a vacant square diagonally behind each bowl. Any double jumps, triple jumps, etc….are considered one move.

REWARD BONES

When a player’s dog bowl reaches the last row on the opposite side of the kitchen floor, the player barks out Hot Dog! Give me a bone! At which time, a dog bone is placed in their dog bowl. This allows the player the ability to move that dog bowl either forward or backwards. Also, an opponent cannot move another player’s bowl that holds a bone. But a player can jump and capture a bowl with a bone when a jump is possible.

WHO WINS?

The player who captures all of their opponent’s dog bowls wins.
