Listen to Steely Dan. They are my most favorite band from the 70's and up. They are a mix of soft rock and jazz, to say their music is astounding is an understatement. I suggest you get their CD "The Steely Dan Story: 1972-1980". I hope you enjoy their music!

A-Dub - a hidden jewel in the realm of rock from 70s and 80s is Thin Lizzy. Sure we have all heard their USA hit The Boys Are Back In Town but there is so much more to this band. They had about a dozen albums and they have a dual guitar sound and great lead vocals by the late great Irishman Philip Lynott.

Check out some Social Distortion. Great Rock-a-billy punk band out of Orange County California.

Live at the Roxy is a great place to start. Great live album, and kind of a greatest hits thing all in one

Rascal Flatts, country and their album "Me and My Gang" won best album at the Country Music Awards. Trust me, you'll love the difference in the songs. Really listen to the words to the song "Skin" by them, it's amazing. Enjoy!
