work hard at it. If you are an artist you should have figured out by now how galleries work. At least you should go to exhibitions by other artists. That should give you plenty opportunity to talk and get recommendations by other local artists.
There won't be any methods which do not require work by you. Of course it will also depend on how good you are. But if you try to get into exhibitions you will find that out. It is completely normal, however, that not everybody will love your art so don't get discouraged if you don't win universal approval.

Get a large collection of about 20 pieces. Create a portfolio of pictures, or copies of your art. Also, create a website with pictures and information about your art. Go to as many galleries as you can with your portfolio and ask them nicely if they would be interested in carrying your art. Be ready for rejection, but don't give up.

Ebay is good too. One month, I sold 10 pieces on Ebay. If you sell on ebay, be prepared to settle for cheap auctions, art that sells for less that $100 is good, and will sell more quickly. Bad thing is all the fees Ebay tacks on.

If your website is good and has good information you can get people to purchase directly from your site. When I had paintings on my old website I averaged selling 1 painting a month...then again the paintings sold for $30.

Bottom Line...try everything. Get someone to be your sells representative and give them a commision.

You have to be persistant about trying the galleries. You may have to go long distance and travel or move.

You can also try local craft shows. Join the guild. In Pennsylvania, they have a yearly PA Guild of Craftsmen show that draws a lot o people, artists and customers.

Avoid eBay. People buying stuff there do not want to pay big bucks, and often don't realize how much time and effort goes in to art.
