almost all meat foods go great with mashed potatoes...fish is usually not such a great choice to join with mashed potatoes...

It's great with any kind of meat, except fish.
Meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
Fried chicken and mashed potatoes w/cream or brown gravy.
Steak and garlic mashed potatoes.
Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes w/cream gravy.
Shepherd's pie-layers of carrots, green peas, and seasoned ground beef topped with buttery mashed potatoes and baked until browned.
Left over mashed potatoes pan fried into "silver dollar pancakes" and served with...anything.
Cheesy mashed potatoes and spicy baked pork chops.
Loaded mashed potatoes (butter, bacon bits, cheese-sour cream and green onions optional) with a steak or a piece of grilled chicken.
O.k. that's it.
Now I've got to go to the store.

I like eating mashed potatoes with Steak and corn or peas....but the steak has to be medium rare and a little bloody so the mashed potatoes soaks up the blood and gives it more flavor!!!!! YUMMY!

I like to mix corn or peas in with the potatoes and gravy. Yum!!

I love eating mine with corn on the side.I use the potatoe's to help me scoop up the corn.
