Robin Williams at a film premier party where I worked. When they were trying to whisk him off to another party, he insisted on thanking every member of staff in restaurant. He even kept people waiting while he went into kitchen to thank chefs. He was a genuinely nice, down to earth person.

I'm not sure if you'd classify him as a celebrity but the most impressive celebrity I've met is Gordon Ramsey.
I met him at his flagship restaurant the Ramsey in Royal Hospital road and I was invited into the kitchen and had a few photos taken.First of all he's a big fella and seemed to command so much respect from everybody, not just the kitchen staff.Secondly he was really polite and didn't come across as other famous people, plus he didn't swear(maybe he was having an off day).Last of all he cooked us dinner! Not many celebrities do that when you meet them, unless they're chefs that is!

The most impressive celebrity I met was The Man of the Millennium, Amitabh Bachan on the Star TV in "Rendezvous with Simi Garewal" Show.I am a Great Fan of him and the show brought out his personality so well, many interesting things came in to limelight about Amitabji.I learnt that he is very self-effacing, and he accept compliments very gracefully. Thanks to Simiji.

I'd have to say that the most impressive celebrity I've met is Nick Carter. It's not because he's an awesomely great singer,(I honestly don't think he is) but it's because of the way he carries himself to his fans and others. I've had the privilege of getting to him on several occasions since he dated a friend of mines sister, and he's always been nice, clean, and a super gentleman.

My most impressive (and biggest celebrity encounter) was Denzel Washinton. He was in the Broadway production of Julius Ceasar last year, so every Wednesday he'd be out in the front of the theater signing autographs before the early (matinee?) show on 44th Street. My building where I worked was literally right next door so for the duration of the play, every single week I'd walk by the long line of fans and admirers outside to get to the train station. I was always too chicken to go up to meet him (that, and it was at the end of my work day when I was exhausted and just wanted to get the train and go home), but I ALWAYS would crane my neck to get a glimpse. Without fail, he'd always be wearing at least a red baseball cap - VERY handsome in person, seemed very down to earth, very friendly. Couple bodyguards, and cops would be around to make sure the crowd didn't do anything stupid, but it was really quite controlled. He's probably the biggest celebrity I've seen in person. I did see Mariah performing at Times Square too one morning outside the ABC studios, but didn't get too close. She sounded AMAZING though....

My friend met Renee Zellweger in a bathroom in Dublin (Ireland) airport, of all places! My friend was on a study abroad program in London and was taking a sort of "Spring Break" trip to explore nearby Europe, and ran into Renee (this was around her early fame days, just after Jerry MaGuire came out) and her friend on holiday in Ireland! That was kinda unique to hear about....She actually got her photo taken with Renee and everything, too ! (They stepped out of the bathroom for the photo, thanks very much. :o))

My gf and I met Rolf Harris in Kings Lynn (2002?), and even though he'd just had a knee operation and was on crutches, he still took time to sign a book and pose for photos. He's the nicest guy on earth!

I met Shane Lynch at a P.A he was doing at a bar in Jersey about 3yrs ago - he ended up behind the bar serving drinks and got me and my mate a drink and forgot to charge us for them - then I had the audacity to give out to him coz he didnt put any bloody ice in them!

Also met Les Hill who used to play 'Blake' in 'Home and Away' many moons ago....have a fetching photo of this as well complete with bad hair (his and mine!)

Saw Alf Stewart and Hayley (the proper Hayley) from 'Home and Away' last year - was in Oz and saw them filming scenes outside the Surf Club.

Daniel O'Donnell he's so down to earth and a really nice guy he hasn't forgotten who made him famous he still remembers his fans and the place where he grew up. he's helped his home town in southern Ireland by building a new school, renovated the church and brought in a lot of business to his local community.

I actually met a member of my fave band - Matchbox Twenty. I bumped into Adam, who was the guitarist. I was on my way to their concert in Sydney, and I bumped into him & his wife on the street. I knew that only fans would recognise him, so I said hi, and we had a great conversation. He introduced me to his wife, Meredith, she is really sweet. I told him how much I loved the band & that I was on my way to their concert that night. He gave me his giutar pick from his wallet, and he told me I had a cool job. I asked his wife to take a pic of us, and she took a great shot.

A few months later, I got a message from her on the bands website, asking for my address as she had something to send me (unfortunately, nothing arrived, but oh well)

That was a great moment in one of the most fantastic weeks of my life, I met 4 out of the 5 band members (including lead singer Rob Thomas), but that Adam meeting was my own little private Matchbox moment!
