If you could be President, what would you change in the country?

First things first i would do what i feel this country needs and revamp the entire education system and give subsidies for all forms of education. Then as a far more educated nation our future would look very bright as a nation. Next i would push for a simpler tax code with plateaued flat taxes rather then the complicated thing we have now. I would also push to realocate the tax burden to the upper rather the middle class percentage wise. I would pull our troops home and allocate them to securing the homeland rather then fighting the war overseas. Including looking at everything that comes into our ports and watching the borders closely. To fix immigration i would secure the borders, but make it a bit easier for the mexicans to come to the U.S. legally with proof that they are clean healthwise and legally speaking. I would promote free trade, because it would in the long run be far better for our country then the shortsighted among us think. I would also try to reform the party system, because it hampers free political debate and probably limit the amount any candidate or group can spend on a campaign. I would also open political dialouge with alll countries to try and let them root out the terrorists themselves rather then having our own troops there. If we had good reason to believe a country was giving terrorists freereign i would send in the special forces units and aircraft to take them out and not launch these expensive and seemingly fruitless full scale invasions. If it persisted then i would try to get UN backing before doing anything militarily on a large scale. To help our energy needs i would replace as many old coal and oil powerplants with a combination of Nuclear, Wind, and Solar power with tax breaks for those who choose to use their own enviromentally friendly solar cells. Nuclear power is very safe, and cheap so it would be a good thing to start using more greatly.

This won't be a popular response: But I would Eliminate Parties & Caucuses. If this country doesn't get back to being Red White and Blue, and STOP making every decision based on Red or Blue, we are headed for a downfall. It's ridiculous that ppl will do anything, say anything, Just to get elected, then DO Nothing.

Poverty, I'd stop worrying about everyone else's problems in the worlds and focus on our own. I'd make sure every child had food, and a roof over their head, every citizen had health insurance. We need to start looking at what doesn't work here before we try to fix what's wrong with the rest of the world.

I'd send a couple nukes over to Iran, N Korea and Iraq after taking all our people out. They don't appreciate us nor do they want us there. Yet first chance they get they will come over here with their radical Islam and JIHAD on the agenda. No agenda here, just riddance.

i would make everyone who throws there trash over there breakwall be responsible i would plant more wildflowers trees and flowers at the white house i would go in disquise like a king i herd about to see how my people are being treated i would make the millon roofs iniciative be a billion roof iniciative i would have a big wine cellar i would get a lot of hell for doing the right thing and doubt that i was doing the right thing i would make shure kids and adult could workout at the schools because were breeding fat people i would make it a major offence to litter or shoot at directional signs in a national forest i would make it not against the law to have wildflowers in your yard there would be bikeing trails and walking trails linked thru out the united states i would make a huge program for everyplace to have recycle bins for rubber metal plastic paper glass and anything that could be recycled i would make it a huge offence for litterers and i would make it mandatory for groups like adopt a road to set aside a tract of land in seperate areas to recycle all that they find at the road side and for comunitys that dont recycle businesses neibors parks schools meaning everyone if they dont recycle they have to pay three times as much i would change out the illegible street signs everywere i would put in place huge laws that protect people who are retalitated against under the ada every new road would have to have a bike trail as well as the intersections not just catering to cars i would make it important to restore historic buildings and have the unions create work not just buldoze everthing when people are to much of a lazy american to restore the buildings murals would have to be restored i would have to take advantage of natural lighting instead of not taking it into consideration on new buildings i would restore all unusable canals and make a tree city usa actually have lots of trees not just say that i would make parks be a forested area with trails not barren areas it would take divers to clean up our water with all the recycles down there its not good when the floor of a river is littered with that stuff i would like my country to be known for great fishing by restoreing wetlands noing it is a nessary evil we may not be able to do as good as nature since nature takes better care than man or woman but i shure would try and if we had to accept canada trash make them recycle there own or we could work together to recycle the heck out of things instead of making a bunch of products that are not recycleable i would make shure that farms are here to stay and all new homes would have to use lots of energy star products and in the end have a big ice cream pizza party with fireworks clowns crying hugging laughing with everybody not an elete few i would teach skill to people who have been segregated in jails and continue to teach them non destructive job skills that are environmentally friendly i would have to do away with violent video games cause i feel they make people act out those parts when they have played a little to long and i would take things like blood stains on childrens toys tires vehicles and schools would be full of wildflowers trees and shrubs instead of steril boxes full of chemicals inside and out with greenhouses attached like a huge one you could eat your lunch in during school i would not have balloons that choke animals and our side of the earth would be clean and poor people could farm on land set aside for them and our history would be portrated more honestly
