Why do people "play the field" in the first place?........to eventually find that right person to be in a committed relationship in, right? Thats just my logic when it comes to finding somone to be with. In my mind, "playing the field" for the hell of it will get you now where, but, being in a committed relationship (and yes, it has its ups and downs, I'll admit), is really the end goal.

I would definately prefer a committed relationship - as long as it was with the right guy, playing the field is ok for a while but at the end of the day being with someone who makes you happy every day is the best!

Yes, I would rather have a committed relationship. I would make sure that I was ready for one though and the person I would choose made me really happy. I do like the single life, but after a year of not being in a relationship, more times than not, it's getting old to me.

I think they both have their advantages but I would choose committed relationship.

I was single for too long. It was nice after coming out of a very long committed relationship. I was able to learn about myself and work on myself more. I developed all sorts of new hobbies, worked out and became physically more healthy, and spent more time with my family and friends. I appreciate that I had the time to be able to do those things.

But now I am in a relationship. Because of my single time, I feel I am able to be a better partner in my relationship. I'm soooo happy, also not to be lonely any longer. I love my boyfriend so much and we have a fabulous relationship. It's incredible and beats the heck out of being single any day!

I've done both and each was fun. Playing the field gave me a chance to find out who I was but there is nothing more lonely than waking up in the middle of the night and finding no-one needs you. Now I'm old enough to choose, I'd say committed is best. Nothing is more powerful than true loyalty and trust that is shared. I know my "equal" is out there somewhere! Saying that, it isn't something I would rush into. I'm happy being me so wouldn't want to make a mistake by giving my heart to someone who would stomp it!

Committed relationship. While I've had my fun and played the field, after a while I miss the familiarity of being with someone who knows you good, always having a date on saturday night, and not having to be anything other then yourself.

It depends what you want. If you're happy with playing the field then do it theres nothing wrong with that - you'll know when you've met the right person that you'll be happy being committed to them. the worst thing to do is stay with someone you're not happy with so make the most of your single years and wait till you meet someone right for you.

I prefer being in a committed relationship - though I haven't always. I guess the timing just has to be right. There is nothing worse than being forced to settle down before youre ready. Good Luck
