If you are a phenomenal athlete it is possible. Chrisitan Okoye played college football without ever even holding a football, however he was a freak (270 lb sprinter at Azusa Pacific College). I don't know if you are trying to play in the AFL or one of the lesser known arena football leagues. You may want to try a lesser known league first then move up the ladder.

Depends on what league your talking about. Some leagues (such as the NIFL) teams pay only $200 a game. The last team we had here, they even charged $50 to each person to try-out. Mulitply that by 125 guys, it was a good pay day for the owners of the team.

If you want to learn more about these type of small leagues and how they operate http://www.oursportscentral.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=75

Hopefully you have athletic skills and depending on your position you want to try for. You will need to have speed, quickness, strength, agility and the drive to work hard each day to become a professional athlete. Good luck!!
