Do you know what sex they are? It could be a male that is becoming aggressive because it is now sexually mature. Or it doesn't think it has enough space and is fighting for room.

As they get older, they naturally become more aggressive, with some species being worse than others.

Too small of a tank makes it worse.

global warming effects animals and mammals a lot quicker than us spoilt for choice of food humans , until theres no food left , then watch the fight, whales have been swimming up the Thames looking for a tescos ,in the paper the other day 30 lions attacked and ate a adult elephant, Theres a polor bear thats been swimming in the Antarctic for 7 months because he or she cant climb on to the ice bergs, there going thin on the edges and there finding out first, even my goldfish are going mad ,

probably becoming of age for breeding, and hence territorial. my guess is they are both the same sex, so one needs to push the other out
