everything I find so far is an in-depth program that you need to apply for and runs for years. I already work full time and just want to do this for fun.

Where can I go??

Call the professional and community theaters in Toronto and ask if they can recommend an acting school or acting teacher that does not run for years!

Acting requires many years of study. It is NOT someone one can learn in 6 weeks or 6 months. It requires dedication, focus and sincere interest in learning the techniques one needs to be an actor. If you can't commit the time for acting classes, consider another career. This is what acting is about. Actors are always in class, always getting coached for plays. It's part of the process.
