I started birth control yesterday and was confused (I'm really unsure that my doctor even knew what she was saying... not going back there!) and took the Thursday pill instead of the Sunday pill yesterday. Then I read online that you are always supposed to start with the Sunday pill regardless of the day... Should I take the sunday pill tonight and then when i get to the thursday pill again just take friday's??? sooo confused!!

Don't take another pill today. Take the saturday pill tomorrow. Just don't have sex till next Friday to make sure it is in your system and working. Or if you do use other protection.

Just go on to the next pill in the round pill pack. Begin taking them in sequential order again.

Some pill packs DO have different levels of hormone (you'll see different colored pills, like with Ortho Tri Cyclen). So it is important you take the correct colored pill for the correct week. If you miss more than three pills, don't have unprotected sex without a backup method. If you miss one day you can double up on pills the next day.

You didn't mention what type you were taking and this is a very common type.

There are different instructions for different pills. So it really depends on what type of birth control you are using. I suggest that you take your pills with you to the pharmacy where you bought them, and ask the pharmacist there what you should do. Part of their job is to help people with their medications, and they will be happy to help you, and you will be certain that they gave you the correct advice!

they all have the same amount of drugs except for the inactive ones. they just say to start on a Sunday because it is easier to remember, if that's how your packs labeled.
