primark sell fantastic ones in really jazzy colours and they are often only a couple of quid

In primark you can get 6 pairs of black sock for £2, so surely wearing a couple of pairs will keep you warm.

Try the Army and Navy stores. They have a good range of warm socks for anglers etc
