Well political fights will always exist and make headlines, but I really do think we are going to see some positive changes in the next couple of years -probably nothing drastic- but smaller steps in the right direction, and that will be accredited to both parties (hopefully) working together more.

I actually see some progress on this in the next two years, The GOP I think will cooperate as they re-think and re-group, as long as the DNC does not try to move to the left on the social Issues, if that happens, it will motivate the Evangelicals to turn out in record numbers in 08, and if that happens, power will shift back to the GOP, so if the DNC knows whats good for them, they need to steer towards at least the Center

What a beautiful mix of terms in your querry; get done; actually get done; rule; rule the news; political fights.
The only way to get the news to pay attention to anything is to get someone fighting about it.
You are not required to believe all the "entertainment" you see/hear coming from the place.

I think that fighting is better then what has gone on there in the past six years. At least there will be more discussion about bills being passed and less bills going through because Bush and his administration says that it's a good idea.

I don't see too many fights going on. But I foresee a lot of backroom negotiations on cutting deals.
The President needs the legislature to keep their hands off his economy, that is his legacy.
The legislature needs to pass laws to pay back all of their political contributors, they can't do that with the president's VETO pen hanging over every bill sent to him.

The Iraqi rebels are already celebrating the weakening of the US military based upon the outcome of the election. Spending has come to a crashing halt, as folks recall skyrocketing interest rates and the biggest drop in the stock market since the depression under the democrats reign. I suppose its a game of wait and see.

Depends on your definition of "Done" Will the Bush agenda be passed? Looks like a no to me. Will we clean up and reform congress? I'd say it's possible.
