I have just connected to talk talk broad band and there is no little TV in the bottom of my screen as was my last provider.
And when I click connect it just connects with out the pass word etc

Its always on. If you want to see the little "TV" when you are connected, open Network Connections, right-click your connection, click properties, and tick the box that says "Show icon in notification area when connected".

All broad bands are always ON, don't worry when you have broad band you pay a forfeit every month £13, £15 or what ever and it does not make any difference how much time you spend on the NET it is the same price.

talk talk appears to always on, my daughter has it and says same, she just clicks on internet explorer and it comes straight up. if computer is on it is connected to internet
