Kobe is the best basketball player. He gives you the best offense in the league and he is an all nba 1st team defender. This year that his teammates are knocking down shots he is averaging like 7 assits a game also. Not only that but he is the best clutch shooter in the nba. He can drive to the basket at will and has a much better mid range jumper than Lebron and Wade. What else could you ask for ?

Today? Probably Lebron James although Im a huge Tim Duncan fan. At such a young age he could do so many things, and he undoubtedly leads a team of nobodies to challenge the Eastern crown. He's so strong he could drive it to the lane and get the foul(He is the #1 finisher in the league last season), and could hit three pointers as well.

well james is awesome but i have 2 go with wade...wade flew under the raidar his rookie season taking the heat 2 the 2nd round of the playoffs....what did lebron do? yea he just now is making the playoffs, wade has the ring and the leadership...in the finals shaq had probly one of the worst series of his life, and wade averaged 35 a game! but i think lebron will get better and better and might reach what wade has done

Best overall PLAYER is Tim Duncan. While Lebron and Wade are great athletes and will probably soon be the best overall players, Duncan plays with fundamentals, intelligence, makes his team better, and wins.

Best all around player would have to go to Tim Duncan. D, O, leadership, rings, enough said. And I am not a Spurs fan either.
