it could mean that on some level you are infatuated with something about him. Or maybe you're afraid that you will never have a serious relationship.

This is just guessing, particularly since your question doesn't include anything about you other than dreams, but (again, guessing)....

Maybe you have something in the back of your mind about meeting someone who is just a friend and then you turn into a couple. Maybe you've been thinking about what it may take to have a good relationship. You could know someone now and be applying this type of theme to them but giving them this other person's identity in the dream.

It could be an issue that is a little deeper than some relationship-centered one. You could have something in the back of your mind (and your emotions) that have something to do with feeling you're in one situation and then it turns into something, say, more complicated or else better (depending on how you feel in the dream).

The reason your mind chose this person could be that he had some impact on you at one time or another, even in some small way; so your mind remembered him. It could be that something about someone or even something you've seen on television or else some song or anything else could have reminded you of him in some subtle way. Maybe your mind chose him because he is a "neutral" person, and it needed someone neutral because whatever the issue is is about some situation you're feeling rather than about any people you know. In the dream this "neutral" person could even represent something other than a person.

If you look past the details and faces of the dreams and think about how you're feeling and the underlying situation in the dreams you may get some direction about what to consider after that. For example, if underneath the details you notice that in the dream you're in a situation of, say, being with someone/something you don't know well but then the situation changes; expand that out to situations you've been in or are in.
If the dream is more a matter of meeting this person for the first time and then becoming friends, consider that there is some situation where you meet something/someone new and it changes to be one thing and then something else.

Or, if there's someone in your life that has seemed to have been one thing and changed, and if you're feeling you don't know them your mind could be dealing with that issue and adding the person you don't know's face for that reason. It could be about a situation you thought was one thing that changed. It doesn' have to be a person.

So think about how you feel in the dream, what the "issues" in the dream seem to be, who and what you have had in your life (either in the past or now) rather than the details.

One thing that occurs to me: Maybe you're dealing with a past issue in your life, and your mind has selected a "neutral" person from the past as part of the fact the issue is related to the past. Your sleeping mind could know "past" and factor that in by adding the person from the past.

Your mind may have selected this person because he had some impact as simple as this: He could have worn a particular shirt one day and struck you as looking particularly neat and business-like, for example. He could have done something nice for someone, and you thought, "Wow. He's probably nice." Now, in your dreams you could be using (for example) either his striking you as looking neat and business-like to represent someone/something else. The example of his striking you as being awfully nice to someone could translate to someone else or something else that has impacted your emotions in a similiar way.

There is no need for long lecture for your dream

Well, the feature of this guy may just got into your subconscious mind. It doesn't mean you like him or he likes you. It just means that you somehow can't forget his face.

Minds are tricky. However in your case, there may be some physical attraction in him and that is why you projected him being your companion.

It doesn't MEAN anything other than that you still think about this guy and perhaps subconsciously you were and are still attracted to him.

It also means that you weren't really paying attention to things like grammar, spelling and punctuation in high school.

Maybe he meant more to you than you let us know or you even notice. The mind works in mysterious ways, I have dreams about people I've hardly noticed in my life as well
