I am at a community college right now. I will finish Spring 08. My boyfriend is away at basic training right now. After he gets done with all of his schooling he wants to get married. I am having to think about where I want to transfer (biology/education major) and futher plans. Is there anyone right now the wife/husband of someone in the military working on a degree that has any advice?

I am not married but have been in the military. Figure out where he will be stationed and look for schools in the area that has your major. You may also consider if he is how often he is likely to transfer again. Don;t for forget about financial aid. Once your married and dpending on his rank you may only be eligible for loans. Well, good luck on your endeavor. Congrads

In addition to the previous post, if he is transferred overseas, you may only be able to continue your education at a handful of colleges. UMUC (University of Maryland University College) is one of them. Have you considered finishing your degree online? I know it's not the same, but it may be a good way of finishing your degree without having to constantly transfer your credits (depending on where he goes on assignment). Good luck!
