I think it's "weird, odd, sick AND strange". Unfortunately, I'm afraid it might be the future of entertainment. I truly hope that I'm wrong though. Perhaps they decided to air this because there are a ton of people who are thinking "I won't believe it until I see it". While that thought is understandable, I don't want my family to see such a horrid spectacle. It was hellish enough watching the news on 9/11.

I just have to say this....
Thank you to all of our Veterans. Don't forget those who have fought & are currently fighting so that we can be here today.
God Bless.
Now, as for the question.
Will I watch it???
I don't know. Although, it would not suprise me that the ratings could be very high because I do believe that people will watch.
Is it sick???
More like a sad commentary on our society. It was acceptable back in the midevil times, but not sure how it will go over in today's society.
Should he be hung?
No, I believe he should be tortured in the most inhumane way possible for what he has done.
Those are my opinions.

staring at a number of the previous solutions jogs my memory that people who shout loudest have the least to declare and the main to cover. The Iraqis that Saddam killed have been often killed with the conivance and appoval of england and usa, no longer that Britain has had an autonomous voice for years, and we killed many with the sanctions we imposed on Iraq, which the politicians knew and assured was hoping may be the case, so as that they could portray what were their murderous tyrant as now an autonomous murderous tyrant. attempt looking at the back of the headlines, a number of you.

I fully agree that it's disturbing. No matter what a man has done wrong, he does not need to be executed in public. That's just wrong. We don't need to see that. That is taking us back to the days of public flogging, public beheadings, public hangings.
Do we really want to take a step backwards in that sense with regards to our society's civility. If so, shame on us....

Here's a quote I read many years ago:
"Left on their own, all of the major networks would broadcast live executions. Except the Fox network, which would broadcast naked live executions."

All of the above.
You should read "Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Atwood. She has this kind of thing happening in the future. Seems like a step back to me!

i think we need to be more like the state of texas, and still have public hangings......i feel if we had more public hanging then people might think twice, before commenting a act of violence, but i really dont think it should be shown on tv, because children could possible see it, you need to attend one if you wish to witnesse it......if people think its odd or sick or strange.then dont attend..but i think it would slow down the act of violence in our nation......with the forensics and dna test we have now, why keep a prisoner on death row and keep them for 20 yrs before exucution.......hangem......sorry but i didnt do the crime so why should i pay...meaning pay to take care of em......just my thoughts...

I know I won't watch. But I will say he deserved it. and as for the people who are going to watch him die, I say God forgive you. Yes, I mean that. Even though what he did was horrible, it's just as horrible to see him die. I can't believe they are going to show that. Please don't watch.

I think it is AWESOME!
Public execution is good. I wish I could be there myself to watch him die and hear the sound of his neck breaking. If we are lucky his neck will not break and he will slowly choke to death...like those he gassed to death.
