I doubt the wolf could catch the fox as I've observed foxes running along the ridgeline of a house more than one or two times. I've found little piles of cat skulls in foxes dens that told me why the fox travels on top a roof.
If the fox was already dead, that's another thing... Probably. Wolf works best as a pack animal though.

Actually, I was just watching a program on National Geographic Channel where they were documenting the recovery of wolf populations in Yellowstone. They said that the grey wolf was the biggest enemy of foxes there and that with the recovery of the wolf population at Yellowstone, the fox population declined. So I would say that wolves do eat foxes....

Most carnivores eat herbivores (that is, meat-eaters eat plant-eaters), so I'd say no.
The effect of wolves on the fox population mentioned in the first answer is probably NOT due to wolves eating foxes, but of competition, or some other reason.

It is possible for a wolf to eat a fox becoz if they are to hungry enough they may prey it.
