Have 1988 Mercedes Benz 560SL that is hard to start but once it starts idles at very high speed.?

Is there a vacuum component that controls the gas flow to the fuel injectors? Is it replaceable

Check for vaccumn leaks by spraying wd40 on your vaccumn attachments. If it picks up rpm ,you have found a leak.
