Well I think that no snow flakes are alike because no one has ever had the chance to observe every single snow flake, but my younger brother once told me that no 2 snow flakes were the same because the old man who makes the weather is so old that he could never remember how to make a snow flake look like the one he made before. I choose to believe my lil' bro because its funner this way!

While it grows a snow crystal is blown to and fro inside the clouds, so the temperature it sees changes randomly with time. Thus the six arms of the snow crystal each change their growth with time. The end result is a complex, branched structure that is also six-fold symmetric. Since snow crystals all follow slightly different paths through the clouds, individual crystals all tend to all look different.
That's the theory as to why no two snowflakes are alike,I must admit though unless every single snowflake was documented and compared how could you prove they are all different?

Actually, about 5 years ago scientists discovered two snowflakes so close in appearance that they were "virtually indistinguishable".

So, the thing is, the theory of no 2 snowflakes being alike has been disproven.

That's what they say, however, can it be actually be proved as how can you look at each and every snowflake? I mean think about it. They say no two fingerprints are alike also, but unless everyone in the world and every where in the world have been checked, how are they going to know for sure?

There at the instant are no 2 snowflakes alike. here is the mathematics. If a snowflake become composed of one hundred variable components, the achieveable combos may well be ten to the 158th ability. that is a quantity greater beneficial than ten to the seventieth ability greater beneficial than all the atoms interior the universe. yet a snowflake has extremely greater beneficial than one hundred variable components. It has ten to the 18th molecules in it. meaning that it would take a super e book to even print the dimensions of the form of circumstances greater beneficial the achieveable combos are than all the atoms interior the universe. or perhaps that's not the great tale. through fact not all water molecules are an identical. And in addition to, even even with the undeniable fact that modern concept assumes that subatomic debris which comprise quarks, electrons, and neutrinos are consistently comparable with one yet another, it is extremely presumptuous to have faith that. that is greater probable that those "perfect" debris are incredibly not greater "perfect" than molecules or atoms. the finest and maximum real looking hypothesis is that there at the instant are no 2 of something interior the universe that are suitable twins. Snowflakes, cornflakes, human beings, grains of sand, stars, atoms, regardless of.

I know this is the general theory, but how do they know that? They haven't examined every single snowflake...

Maybe it something to do with the way they're made but surely snowflakes made in the exact same condition should look exactly the same way... Hmm, i want to know the answer to this one too..

There has to be, out of all the billion and billions of flakes two of them have to be alike even to the number of molecules in each. I can't imagine who started this nonsense.

I think snowflakes are minature throwing stars from god...If he had made them of metal we would all be in trouble!!
