by understanding that the superficiality associated with the American culture is not exactly what all persons are; that all Americans are not greedy, aloof, or stupid (though I definitely know quite a few that fit the bill!) And know that many more than projected are aware and not apathetic and do become involved in their nation's happenings out of actual concern rather than the chíc/vogue aspect of it...oh, also...try to understand that the American culture is the only one that some of us know, and not by choice (i.e. African American) If all else fails...your opinion's as good as the general!

realize that most americans, the "common folk" are /come from all types/kinds,,,,,, there is no one description of american,,,, we are a mixture,,, many of us today come and realize we come , from a very negative past,,, what our country has/continues to do,,,, what we havent taken care of in our own country,, etc, yet we move along, as a people, slowly making change in our society , hopefully making progress, not just in technology, but also as humans,,, i think the goal of most of us, is the same goal of most people of all nations, to have love, peace, religion, and to enjoy life and feel good about outselves,,,,,,,, unfortunatly,,,, the "bad " ones in life, the war mongers, the racist and bigots,,,,, keep also going on , and that happens in all countries, in all groups of people,,,,,,,,,
