Yes, P Diddy did a version of "Every Breath You Take" as a tribute to Biggie Smalls. Sting did backups on one of the awards shows where P Diddy performed the song.

That song is so kitsch but it really makes sense when you feel that bad, just download it and weep to your hearts content! Yes..it was P.Diddy but at the time he was Puff daddy and he sang it with Faith Evans and Sting..they made that song after Notorious BIG died...

yeah, he did it as a tribute to his slain friend the notorious b.i.g. it was very moving, unlike the police version which is about a stalker.
diddy's version is i'll be missing you and the police's version is every breath you take.
