It's fine, just make sure you tell the dentist. I went to the dentist about abou 12 weeks.

It should be just fine. I went to the dentist around the same time in my pregnancy. The only thing was that when I went in and told them I was pregnant, the INSISTED on calling my Dr. and making sure it was OK. And since I had an early morning appt, they kept me waiting at least 30 minutes before they did anything until they could talk to a nurse over there. So you may want to call your dentist to give them a heads up in case they want to confirm things with your Dr.

Yes, actually, most doctors recommend you visit the dentist while pregnant because you could get more infections and gum problems than when you're not pregnant. Just make sure you don't have morning sickness when you go to the dentist - that could make for a very unpleasant trip.

Earlier this month a study in the New England Journal of Medicine found that women can safely have their teeth cleaned during the second and third trimesters. It did not specify about the first trimester being unsafe but you are past that point anyway.

During my first trimester, I was due for a cleaning. My dentist refused to do it. She said that I needed to have clearance from my OB first. I just decided to make my appointment after the baby's born.
I suggest you ask your OB and your dentist if it's ok.

Yes, it is absolutely OK. But please let the dentist, the hygeinist and whoever you talk to that you're pregnant.
I got my teeth cleaned about the same time and had no problems.

Talk to the dentist. He may want to see you sooner. Pregnant women can have diseases (especially gum disease) in their mouths which lead to birth defects in their babies.
