I just started reading Body of Evidence and it's really interesting and I am wondering if all her books are with the same main character, Kay Scarpetta. I know I am reading the second one Kay is in, my question is which one comes next and is there anywhere i can find a list of those books with Kay Scarpetta and the order in which the came out. Anything you guys can tell me would be helpful, thanx!

I have read several of her novels, they are great. Another good one for you to read is The Body Farm. Most of her books do have Dr. Kay Scarpetta as the main character. Go to Patricia Cornwell's web site for a list of her books and the order they were written. It is a good idea to read them in order, as things happen in previous books that pertain to the book after it.

I've never read her books, but my sister and mother do. My understanding is that they are almost all about that character, and that she even has a cookbook out.

Interesting side note: since a lot of her books (most, all?) take place in Richmond, VA, she works with the morgue there (research). My sister spent time at the morgue (working for the Army) and got a chance to meet Patricia Cornwall. Just thought that was a nifty thing to add.

I've read almost all her books and they are just about all Scarpetta books. I just bought Portrait of a Killer (story of Jack the Ripper) but haven't read it yet.

Try Patriciacornwell.com for more info.
