I don't know about "AOL Spyware". What I can tell you is that the answer is "NO". All you have done is deleted the current spyware that came into your system while you were surfing the internet. (Blocking is only good for pop-up). As for more spyware, virus, trojans and malware, this is a ongoing battle.
The odds are you will always get a tracking cookies, which is bad or some other kind of spyware. Or you will get a good cookie that shows you just opened MSN, this good cookie just allows the page to open faster.
The key is to have good antivirus, antispyware, an a good firewall. So if/when you do get hit you have the security to delete spyware, bad cookies, or if it is a trojan, place in the vault of the software program, if the trojan can not be destroyed.

The purpose of "blocking or quarintine" is to allow you time to investigate and make sure the program is not a safe and required program. Once it is confirmed, by you, that it is Malware then it should be deleted from your computer.
Anytime you delete a Malware infection some problem can result. Malware attaches to legit registry entries and the removal of these can damage the Registry entries of legit programs. There are program and procedures you can use to correct these problems if they occur.
These two program can correct these problems. The first is good for all Windows OS except for Windows 95. The second is for Windows XP only.

NOTE: If you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and are unable to access the Internet after removing Malware, there is a command that may fix the problem. It works by resetting the winsock catalogue. Click on Start, then Run and type CMD in the box. Click OK. Type "netsh winsock reset" (no quotes)into the DOS window that appears.

The one that has the PC Magazine best spyware this year is Spyware Doctor 5.5. I have used all of them, and I can tell you it is the one that protects the most. The disadvantage is that if your computer is old/slow it will make it even slower. You won't even be able to use it. In that case I recommend Spysweeper. You also need a firewall and antivirus, I recommend Kaspersky for that. I used notrton before, but this year Kaspersky has the best reviews and I really like it. Maybe Norton will learn and be the best next year, like it used to be. I am not cheap with computer security, because if you ever get hacked and your identity is stolen, you will loose many thousands of dollars and your whole credit history. It would be a mess. Hackers this days do it for money; they do it for fraud. It isn't just a game anymore. They are all in Russia and China so they will never get caught. It is wise to protect yourself.

If you have blocked the files and your computer is still running fine, it is safe to delete them. As soon as you blocked them, your computer was not longer able to use the files. If it has run fir a day or two without them then it is safe to delete them.
