when did you start trying and how long did it take is it possible it could take a few months even if your doing it 14 days after your period

Having intercourse 14 days after your period won't help anything. You need to have sex 12-16 days before the onset of you next period--this is when ovulation takes place. It is a common misconception that all women have 28 day cycles and ovulate on day 14--this simply is not true for the majority of women. If you want to get pregnant, pinpoint ovulation, have sex, and hope for the best. The average couple only has about a 20% chance each cycle. Good luck!

My husband and I start trying 5 to 7 days after the end on my period. It never fails, I get pregnant on the first try. I don't know why I'm this fortunate, but I am. It also goes to say that when we don't want to get pregnant we have to be extremely careful.
Don't get too worried if it takes a while, some of my friends have tried for almost two years before their first pregnancy. Each couple is different. If you worry about not conceiving after about 6 mo. of trying, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor. They will know if you should be refered to a fertility clinic or if there are other things that may need to be considered.
Good Luck and may you conceive quickly.

It took my a year before I got pregnant with my daughter. I was keeping track of my ovulation days the entire time also. A friend of mine got pregnant in two months of trying, so everyone is different. But don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. My doctor told me that it is normal for it to take a year to a year and a half to get pregnant. Have fun trying!!!!

I was desperate to have a child and like you waited and waited. I was told to relax and try not to dwell on it as well as having a check-up from the Doctor. When I did become pregnant it was a great surprise, but it took over three years to get there. I also had trouble trying for a second baby but now I am a granny and it was worth the waiting. So JUST RELAX. Best of luck. Keep on trying.

I am pregnant with my third child, each time after we had started trying, it took us 7 months to become pregnant. It is possible that it can take some time. It took my sister and her husband three years. Good luck!!!!!

i got pregnant with my first child straight away. but we've been trying for our second child for over a year with no luck.i use ovulation tests every month to pinpoint ovulation but on average, couples only have a 20% chance of becoming pregnant every month. i live in hope every month but i know if its meant to be it will happen sooner or later. so good luck to you and remember don't get stressed out it will happen just think positive happy thoughts.
